Residential Needs and Plans Study Group Formed
A Residential Needs and Plans Study Group has been formed to begin a comprehensive study of Dean-Eaton residence hall. The group of trustees will work with a consulting architecture firm and space planner to execute a full assessment of the facility and provide a final report and recommendations.
Built in 1926, and expanded in 1938, with an extension added in 1972, Dean Eaton currently houses a total of 300 students in three distinct sections. The comprehensive study will include consideration of student residential needs, architectural integrity, sustainability issues, multiuse spaces, cost efficiencies, and the campus history related to renovation and/or new construction for the nearly 100-year-old structure. The first phase of the study will commence in spring 2019.
